Our residential trips for secondary schools are uniquely tailored to the needs of your students. They are designed to give students the chance to switch off from their screens and discover how they can thrive together in the outdoors.

A Rootd residential trip for secondary schools encourages teamwork, building resilience, and allowing students to feel empowered through a range of exciting activities.  They take part in a wide range of outdoor challenges and activities, all while having an exciting and unforgettable time with their existing friends, creating bonds with new friends, and building a real sense of community across the year group.

Rootd Residential Trips for Secondary Schools to ease transition

A Rootd secondary school residential trip in Year 7 can form part of the settling-in experience and ensure students start the year full of excitement, with a broad friendship base beyond the people in their class.  Focusing on teamwork and adventure it's the perfect way to encourage students to work together and build closer bonds.

Being together in the outdoors brings a sense of freedom, which means students can become more open and receptive to new experiences.  It also allows teachers to get to know the new cohort and identify students’ strengths, skills, and needs, to best support them throughout the coming year.
